What is the duration for works?

Every job carried out is varied depending on the job requested, but once we receive more information for the works you would require, we can work out an estimated time.

What payment methods do you accept?

We take all forms of payment including cash, BACs payments, credit or debit cards.

 

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. Because the items we make are made to your individual requirements and may be difficult or impossible to re-sell to others. This is normally 40% for small items/projects or 60% for larger projects.

Are you insured?

Yes, we have public liability to cover all areas of our work and your home.

Where do you set up for a job?

We try to construct as much as possible inside our workshop sometime the more bespoke ranges require us to build at your home to ensure perfect fit. We would do this under a canopy tent on the driveway or allocated place with tarpaulin mats (Discussed upon booking in)

What glass is used on Staircases?

Toughened glass & Laminated glass.

BS EN 12150: Glass in building – Thermally toughened soda lime silicate safety glass

BS EN 14449: Glass in building – Laminated glass and laminated safety glass

What type of wood is use for Stair Renovations?

Mainly White Oak, Walnut, Sapele, Tulipwood or Stainless Steel. We can offer any other specialist timbers on request.

Can the Staircase be used while being fitted?

We understand that the staircase is a high traffic area and will always plan with our clients to allow as much access as possible and we always ask that you talk to us before using the staircase to keep everybody safe.

What Timber Finishes do you use?

With staircase we have a preferred brand of Lacquer which we spray in our warehouse. This has the most durable finish and only requires a damp cloth to clean and will last the lifetime of the staircase. All our bespoke cabinetry is finished with a very durable water-based paint that can be wiped and we can colour match and British standard colours which include Farrow and Ball, Dulux and Crown to name a few!

What wood is used for bespoke furniture?

We can supply pretty much any substrate for our projects, our kitchens are normally Birch Plywood, our wardrobes are a high-grade moisture resistant MDF. We can also offer a hardwood only service for those special projects.
